Mekong River. The mighty watercourse flows from Yunnan (China) through Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia to Vietnam, the Le Grand Pakbeng is roughly 8 hours cruise from Houeixay in the Golden Triangle or Luang Prabang World Heritage Site and 3-4hours drive from the provincial town of Oudomxay, Laos or the Nan City of Thailand.

Le Grand Cruise and Le Grand Pakbeng Resort are owned and operated by the same management team. Our cruises operate downstream from northern Laos at Houay Xay town (opposite of Chiang Khong Thailand) and final destination to Luang Prabang with a stop at Pakbeng town while our upstream river cruises depart from UNESCO Heritage town heading north to Houay Xay. We stay at luxury Le Grand Pakbeng Resort located on the north bank of the Mekong River.
